hm didn't know atom implemented that, or how exactly he did implement it. maybe he can chime in on exactly how it works.

Mmm, Windows is not my strong suit, but MSCHAP is the same as NetNTLM, is it not?

Can you not re-arrange the output of whatever program you're using to match oclHashcat's expected input format? There's already a thread about this at https://hashcat.net/forum/thread-2563.html

The reported memory is fine. Not all of the memory is available for compute tasks.

Post: RE: Sapphire r9 290x 4gb

It's a really bad idea to let the BIOS manage the fan speed automatically, because it's programmed for gaming workloads, not compute workloads. You really must set the fan speed manually. Yes, it's ok...

you are defining a custom character set, but you are not supplying a mask that actually uses that character set.

Post: RE: ibm security directory server hash

Assuming the plaintext provided is a valid password for one of the two hashes, it doesn't appear to be any of the modes Hashcat supports. Tried 1410, 1420, 1430, 1440, 1450, and 1460 to no avail.

Well, you have the hash string "MWw4MjlrM2loajFz:qu0VLHJPa2dNL6+7bRIpcRGcdInpFO6B5OGMgnyEeyM=", we assume the first part is the salt and the second part is the hash. Just convert it from base64 encodi...

    Thread: AMD R9 390x benchmark
Post: RE: AMD R9 390x benchmark

Yes, this is the same card as the 290X, only not available in reference design. No, this is not with stock clocks. You can see from the benchmark he's overclocked to 1070 Mhz.

    Thread: AMD R9 390x benchmark
Post: RE: AMD R9 390x benchmark

Sure, it could be a factory overclock, but still an overclock none the less. Stock clock for that chip is 1000 Mhz. And 390X is not "almost the same" as a 290X, they are literally the same GPU.

cpu hashcat is not optimized for brute force, it is optimized for wordlist-based attacks.

again, cpu hashcat is not optimized for brute force. if you want to do brute force, use oclHashcat.
