Post: 6x7970 - cards not running at full utilization

Post: RE: Ubuntu won't boot with more than 4 GPU's
Okay.
So with 64bit Ubuntu I get a kernel panic whilst booting even with 2 cards plugged in if one of them is plugged in to the short pcie1x slot.
It seems that the system will never boot if any... |

More news.
I can get the system to boot with 6 cards on Ubuntu 14.04 server with 14.9 ati drivers.
However, it isn't stable. Hashcat runs but it seems to hang after a few minutes. At this poin... |

In the interest of helping others, I finally figured this out last week.
The issue was running PCIE1x simulatenously with 4x and 16x. The solution was to set a kernel boot option in grub of iommo=s... |

I'm having an issue with a rig I'm building. I have followed the hashcat wiki to build Ubuntu server 14.04.4 and install the ATI 14.301.1001 driver. The driver installs fine and I can get up to 4 card... |
