You need to install an icd loader. On ubuntu you need to install ocl-icd-libopencl1 (and possibly nvidia-opencl-icd-340) |

A failing self-check usually means the driver has a bug. Don't expect anything when disabling that. From that I gather, however, that you are still able to start hashcat and the error is suddenly gone... |

if this happens something with your opencl drivers is wrong. In the past people had problems with a rouge intel opencl runtime. |
