Of course those numbers are not always identical. Otherwise there'd be no reason to include them in the hash string. There should not be any spaces anywhere.

at any time you can simply quit hashcat when running the command philsmd gave you and later resume the cracking by running "hashcat --restore"

Depending on your budget simply get the best nvidia consumer GPU you can afford. With only one GPU and no 24/7 usage there is not much you need to worry about.
