The only hashes you can have partial matches are LM hashes because they are actually two hashes.

There already exists an 'as optimized as possible' distributed hash cracking system. But it's not os freeware.

I'm very sure atom has better things to do than writing a "stupid" web interface. But hashtopus is open source, you can simply integrate the web interface you like and push it to the git repo.

more than 8 chars brute force is not feasible for almost any system.

Joomla is fast and weak but you won't see your laptop finishing that attack with 10 chars.
