but at least cpu hashcat should crack all hashes that have been cracked by oclhashcat. Something doesn't seem right.

For WPA the speed difference is irrelevant. Also hashcat cannot further filter the candidates generated by the mask generator. |

What i was referring to is that everyone is able to reverse engineer the binary executable and figure out how the file gets decrypted. It's about the same level of security as locking your car and hid... |

cannot reproduce with hashcat 0.42
at least oclHashcat-plus-0.10rc2 seems to work fine, too.

if you look closely it's not 1% but -1%. This is because Nvidia restricts the GPU usage information to the developer cards only. |

maybe you run hashcat from a dir where you have no write permissions? Hashcat will try to write hashcat.pot to the CWD. |

oclhashcat-plus does this for performance reasons. It is implemented that way and you can't change anything about it. |
