Post: RE: NVIDIA and AMD on the same system?

They might be talking about available PCIe lanes for x16 or x8 speed but that's completely irrelevant for hashcat. It does not cause the system being unable to utilise those cards. iirc AMD drivers...

"low budget" can be a pretty broad definition depending on who you ask. A GTX960 might fit your needs.

Post: RE: Looking for a Pascal-based Tesla Benchmark

It's hard to find benchmarks for those cards precisely because nobody even bothers buying them for hashcat. Here is a benchmark for P400, I have no idea how it compares to a P40 though: https://hashca...

Looking to determine what? FLOP perf is completely irrelevant for hashcat. Core count, frequency and architecture determines how fast a card is.

Post: RE: SLI GPU's to pair with GTX780

The GTX 780 is a pre-maxwell gpu and has poor hashcat performance. Hashcat does not use SLI at all. It will simply use whatever processing units are available and allowed to be used. You can freely mi...

just a note: if you still get the warning about the failing self-test something as wrong and you will not be able to crack the hash.

Post: RE: Build advice

Using the graphics output of your GPU while running hashcat will likely cause a laggy picture but that is independent of the cable used and will hardly slow down hashcat.

A low-end cpu will do. If you want a Ryzen the 1200 would work. Get a Geforce 1080Ti FE. AMD GPUs are crap. 8GB RAM would cut it. edit: and holy shit, water cooling?? did you copy this build from a s...
