Thread: rx 480 amd drivers 19.2.2
Post: RE: rx 480 amd drivers 19.2.2
hashcat is usually more demanding than gaming and, depending on what you mine, also mining. |

Thread: Strange behavior when using two GPUs
Post: RE: Strange behavior when using two GPUs
Thank you for reporting back! The problem with those kind of gpu coolers is that they only whirl the air around, but don't actually remove the hot air, as opposed to blower fan coolers. A closed case ... |

keepass has a variable iteration count. The example hash uses 24569 iterations, your hash has 60000. |

Thread: 2080TI keepass2 speed
Post: RE: 2080TI keepass2 speed
considering this benchmark (https://hashcat.net/forum/thread-8028.html) for a 2080 has 159kH/s at 6k iterations, 22kH/s at 60k iterations for a 2080TI seems like a good number. |

apt-get install ocl-icd-libopencl1 should do the trick I think. |

Does that directory exist? The potfile is only created after at least one hash has been cracked successfully. |

For some algorithms the speed with CUDA is a bit better. You won't see dramatic speed increases though. |

Thread: mask attack for non-repeating chars
Post: RE: mask attack for non-repeating chars
1. Easier on a mathematical level? Yes. Easier on a practical level? No.
2. Pure hashcat masks cannot do this. maskprocessor has options for this.
3. (94^12 / $hashrate) will give you a rough, optim... |

Post: RE: mask attack for non-repeating chars
-q 1 is redundant with -r 1
but according to your first post "rxMX8$cQ$4RZ" is a valid example (it includes two dollar signs), hence I assumed you were referring to consecutive occurrences. |

Not sure how you deduce your divisor to be 1.5 after determining your hashrate to be 3000 but your conclusion is correct nonetheless. |

Windows should be as simple as installing the official AMD driver. On linux you need rocm which should not be much trouble to install on ubuntu. |

There is no generic answer to that, it depends on the software that put the info there. The password could be hashed, encrypted or simply encoded. |
