maybe you run hashcat from a dir where you have no write permissions? Hashcat will try to write hashcat.pot to the CWD.

erm, ok. Was a bit confused because you were talking about "hashcat 0.9" which I was unable to map to any hashcat version and thus concluded you were talking about the gui version number.

you can do --stdout to see all generated candidates. "Live" candidates are only shown by oclhashcat I think.

Windows 7 offlinely stores passwords with NTLM, are you sure it is DCC2? See example hashes here: https://hashcat.net/wiki/doku.php?id=example_hashes

it's not the length of hash:salt that matters but salt+password length with is restricted to 55 chars. For longer combinations you can try jtr.

command line looks fine, but don't mess with -t unless you know what you are doing.
