Your mask is using ?l. If you define a custom charset you should use it.

It's not hanging and the behaviour you are experiencing is not connected to the warning message. Please read the --help and the wiki on how to use hashcat.

You will need to enable increment mode. By default it will only try the exact mask length.

"Killed" usually happens when your system runs out of ram.

Nothing is impossible, speed is always the problem. But you're not going to be able to afford enough hardware to crack this.

That's quite tricky. *hashcat has no functionality to archive this. You can try to use https://www.thesprawl.org/projects/pack/ to generate some mask files or try creating a specific wordlist for this...

Sorry, didn't read properly. Could've bet resuming works for rules, too. But yes, you can safely split the rules file into as many pieces as you wish.
