Thread: Cisco IOS MD5 BruteForce Mask
Post: RE: Cisco IOS MD5 BruteForce Mask

the mask depens on what candidates you want to test, not on your hashing scheme.

You don't want a rule, you want a mask matching a policy. Use PACK https://thesprawl.org/projects/pack/

btw, you're not specifying a mask. It will not do what you think it does.

if you don't specify a mask hashcat will use a default one. One that is not full brute force.

more than 8 chars brute force is not feasible for almost any system.

Not sure what you want rules for. Just use a normal mask attack with s*?1?1?1?1

that test suite really is a bit annoying. Killed it after 12h running, only had a few timeouts. (750 Ti)

I'm very sure atom has better things to do than writing a "stupid" web interface. But hashtopus is open source, you can simply integrate the web interface you like and push it to the git repo.

There already exists an 'as optimized as possible' distributed hash cracking system. But it's not os freeware.

The only hashes you can have partial matches are LM hashes because they are actually two hashes.
