Your best course of action is finding out how the md5 password was generated. brute force isn't going to get you anywhere.

everything looks alright, but you have not specified a bruteforce charset. By default hashcat only uses lowercase letters for bruteforce (a-z).

what exactly do you think you could leave out? instance one: -1 ABCDEFGHIJKLM instance two: -1 NOPQRSTUVWXYZ nothing easier, neater and more universal.
