Thread: n00b Question: DES3CBC
Post: RE: n00b Question: DES3CBC
The hashes must be formatted like on https://hashcat.net/wiki/doku.php?id=example_hashes
Not sure if you can get 3DES in CBC mode to get to work with hashcat at all. |

I have no idea what your scripts are doing but they are doing it wrong. The hcmask file definitely does not allow leading zeros. |

Post: RE: My practice attempt to decrypt a SHA-256 hash ...
no, it doesn't. there are no instances of .?1 or .?2
and a "normal" IPv4 representation does not have leading zeros
I generated that hcmask file :P |

Thread: My KeePass Job Seems Slow
Post: RE: My KeePass Job Seems Slow
Your speed depends on the number of iterations. You can only achieve the same speed as the benchmark with a hash that has the same number of iterations (or less). |

No, it doesn't. -D selects the device type and 2 is for GPU. Also, for functional testing the workload factor is irrelevant. |

Thread: Multiple Handshake in a file.
Post: RE: Multiple Handshake in a file.
hashcat will try to crack all handshakes if you concatenate them into a single file.
It's a binary format and documented here: https://hashcat.net/wiki/doku.php?id=hccapx |
