The BOM is always optional and its presence depends on your text editor. Notepad++ has an option to explicitly enable/disable it. BOM is almost exclusively used for unicode. https://en.wikipedia.org/w...

A MSSQL 2000 hash consists of two hashes, one with the correct case and one with all upper case letters. Hashcat probably simply ignores one of them. see https://www.theregister.co.uk/2002/07/08/crac...

you have not specified a mask, hence hashcat uses its default mask which does not include your password.

There is no such thing as a "raw bruteforce" in hashcat. You can see the default mask it is using in your status output.

according to this post: https://hashcat.net/forum/thread-1191-post-6335.html#pid6335 your watchdog does generally not work. It might be a driver/hardware problem.
