Thread: Reverse pass and hash on oclHashcat-plus
Post: RE: Reverse pass and hash on oclHashcat-plus
i don't think this is something to be handled by the hashcat engine.
Reversing a hash itself can be sone by a simple shell command. Reversing the word can be done by using the "r" rule. With the up... |

Thread: Noob trying to follow this walkthrough
Post: RE: Noob trying to follow this walkthrough
hashcat doesn't magically find the file for you on your system. Give the full path if it's not in your cwd.
What does this have to do with /etc/shadow at all? |

Thread: Intel Fermi-support in hashcat
Post: RE: Intel Fermi-support in hashcat
looks like one of these overpriced developer stuff that's slower than a mid-range gpu for hash cracking. No point in coding extra kernel for this stuff. (they are obviously not using AMD opencl or Nvi... |

It's not connected to the PSU. The extra power connectors on the cards are simply not sufficient to power the card. Therefor the cards draw excessive additional power from the PCIe socket (path of lea... |

Thread: why do you think that multiple 5970 fry motherboards?
Post: RE: why do you think that multiple 5970 fry mother...
I'm not sure why you would want to specifically use 5970s in the first place. I'm not even sure AMD still supports those (and consequently hashcat). Granted, even newer high-end AMD cards have this pr... |

Thread: Wordlist approach?
Post: RE: Wordlist approach?
you should really use rules in your first or second round. Depending on how long the run takes use best64.rule or the cut-down version of the d3ad0ne rules (1.5k I think). |

Thread: [Bug] Hashcat v0.41 & oclHashcat v0.09 crash
Post: RE: [Bug] Hashcat v0.41 & oclHashcat v0.09 crash
cannot reproduce with hashcat 0.42
at least oclHashcat-plus-0.10rc2 seems to work fine, too.
//edit: can reproduce with 0.09, supposedly already fixed in the latest beta. |
