Thread: Am i wasting my time?
Post: RE: Am i wasting my time?
You don't have to clean your cap and in fact it's not even recommended. Since it's your network and you know the passphrase you can simply put it into your wordlist for an easy and quick test. |

It is probably possible to get The-Distribution-Which-Does-Not-Handle-OpenCL-Well (Kali) working, but don't ask how. Ubuntu is recommended.

Ok, so from what I understand your candidates look like this:
.,onetwo.,
in that case you can use hashcat's combinator mode (-a 1) with -j '^,^.' -k '$.$,'
hashcat -a 1 wordlist.txt wordlist.txt -j... |

Just checked, 5.1.0 does have that folder, too. If your GPU is not detected something with your driver is wrong. |

I think the goal is to replace certain characters with certain others. That's not possible with rules. hashcat-legacy had a table lookup mode which did exactly this. |

Thread: Old version for CoreDuo ?

I wouldn't expect anything to run on such an outdated OS. hashcat probably won't run on that hardware at all due to missing opencl drivers. |

You don't need a different hashcat version to use your cpu. See --opencl-device-types option
Use --potfile-disable to disable checking of already cracked hashes. |

Your nvidia opencl runtime, not your intel one. Try reinstalling the graphics driver. |
