Post: RE: oclhash question about length

if left side is of length 4, 8 or 12 its most performant. there is one exception if you get this warning: WARNING: words in dict_left < .... Can't gain full performance in this case its better to p...

Post: RE: oclhash question about length

use --increment, see https://ob-security.info/?p=116 too. my recommendation: do not try to crack passes < length 4 using oclHashcat

Post: RE: AMD Stream 2.3 SDK released

The SDK v2.3 is absolutely useless. I can't express how disappointed I am. ATI developers have confirmed, and known about all of the bugs for some time, with adequate time to fix them. But no...

i did not use clc. i use the GPU_DUMP_DEVICE_KERNEL environment variable. if defined it dumps the .il and the .isa when its execing a opencl kernel.

Post: RE: AMD Stream 2.3 SDK released

yes, i totally agree on that. but what i orginally wanted to say is that it is not "enough" to have C compiled to IL using clc since there is no BFI_INT instruction in IL and thats why i used the GPU_...

Post: RE: multihashing of sha1($salt.$pass) possible?

sorry, but this does not work with oclHashcat for two reasons: 1. you can not add salts or charsets in hex 2. you can not crack plains of size 15 or bigger and you need 24

absolutly not. for example if you limit the attack to --perm-min=8 and --perm-max=8 it will only use words of length 8. N! function of 8 = 40320. so it requires 40320 * number of words (with length 8)...
