Not a bug, its simply not supported. The --username switch is supposed to be used in combination with the --show parameter. But its ok, add it to trac as feature request and I will add it.

There is currently no way to run oclHashcat-* on Mac since Apple does not provide a cross-compiler for the OpenCL Kernels. This is required since oclHashcat is not open-source.

The problem with > 55 is that you require another transform. Speeds will at least drop to 50%.
