maybe opencl.dll issue. remove catalyst, then manually delete opencl.dll in windows folder (because driver does not remove it), then reinstall driver

I like that idea, the question is just how to do it without loosing performance compared to the current ones. For slow hashes it doesn't matter, but the fast hashes... Maybe I have an idea sometime ho...

IMO best results come with a lot of experience, good dictionaries and last but not least gpu-power, while the latter is mostly needed to create the good dictionaries.

well that says that it crashes somewhere inside AMD's OpenCL runtime, so it's not really an oclHashcat problem. Try to remove all *.kernel files in kernels/4098/*.kernel maybe it helps..

Oh no, sorry, I just was talking about the ?w thing. That's the interessting part. For combinator stuff use combinator.bin from hashcat-utils in combination with -a1 attack for full performance
