Post: RE: Hashing a dic and adding it to POT
well, for salted hashes you lack the salt, so it won't work here.
for unsalted hashes i think there will be some point where it's faster to crack them.

I also recommend permute.bin in case you know the chars/letters but not the ordering - that also includes the space. Then pipe it to oclHashcat. |

Post: RE: Please help: 2 of the 4 290X are way too slow ...
I remember some time ago there were "fake" 6970 cards. I don't mean the "unlocked" 6950. That was a 6850 or so with a faked bios so that it showed as a 6970 to the system. Don't know about the details |

Right, I just had that idea when he said that he's using 2 different brands, 2 times ASUS and 2 times Sapphire so I thought maybe the Sapphire (or the ASUS) are fake ones.

Thread: Oracle 10 hash type
Post: RE: Oracle 10 hash type
oracle 10 is supported with oclHashcat only (gpu version) on which it is -m 3100, you propably tried hashcat (cpu version)
the format is hash:username

yeah, due to the per-connection salt speciality it requires a new hash-mode and therefore you need to create a feature request on hashcat's trac |

I guess you're right. I took a quick look at the ruby sources:
Code:

Thread: Large hashfile - no result - SHA512
Post: RE: Large hashfile - no result - SHA512
The multihash cracking of unsalted 64 bit based hash algorithms like SHA512 and Keccak is known to be broken in v1.21. It will be fixed with next version. Sorry! |
