Can aircrack read the extract.cap (the one output by tshark) without using the -J? If not, I'd say tshark destroyed it, at least for using it with aircrack

In that case don't use the combination of tshark + aircrack for convert. You can use cap2hccap I think it has an builtin filter.

Currently I have no plans to add it to oclHashcat as it requires GMP and there's no GMP on GPU (for fast hashes). It should be easy to use for slow hashes though.

yes it increases startup time because of reduced ram consumption. you can however increase it in the source again if you want and recompile

OK, after some debugging we found out the problem is related to GPU_NUM_COMPUTE_RINGS which we originally added to workaround some Catalyst 14.12 problems. Since we dropped support for catalyst 14.12 ...

Don't think it's a bug. There are many factors that influence the keyspace. Make sure you understood the basic concept
