yeah its a special optimization. it ignores the multihash bitmaps in quick digest mode.

because of various reason, but especially because hashcat is designed for wordlist-based attacks not brute-force attack.

check out the oclhashcat fingerprint attack and see how it modifies dictionaries using the expander from the hashcat-utils and then use the result with itself or with any other dictionary.

the compare code is in the kernel not in the oclhashcat binary. however this is a single-user request so it will have lower priority. if i have some spare time i will add it.

yes, that was a 64 bit issue. my cross compiler did something wrong. i workarounded the problem. please test in next release or come to IRC to get the beta. however, this was only a display error.

you have two errors: a) the signature unmatched error occours because you have specified a wrong -m mode (must be 0). make sure you switched it to MD5 in GUI b) the md5sum of "lol" is 9cdfb439c7876e...

this is a hashcat-gui issue and it has nothing to do with the release of hashcat v0.35. hashcat can run without the GUI.
