Its still unclear if gtx680 has BFI_INT and / or BIT_ALIGN instruction. This would boost speed by ~ 40%.

well, installing catalyst and opencl on linux is a pain, no doubt. keep in mind you have to be logged into X11 if you want to use it, otherwise it wont work. also maybe you updated your system package...

yeah thats pretty easy. plus does not support hd7970, thats why it segfaults since its compiled with an to old catalyst. the next thing is that you should remove the sdk since the sdk itself ships and...

actually you can blame amd. because they do not fix their drivers i can not release the new oclHashcat-plus which already supports gtx680

There is no way getting around expensive cards. In case of GPGPU only the expensive ones are the good ones. The hd7970 is a single GPU while the hd6990 is a dual-GPU card. When the hd7990 comes out ...

The gtx680 is at 760 khash/s (estimated) The hd7970 is at 3200 khash/s (latest beta)
