    Thread: Budget System Advice
Post: RE: Budget System Advice

The Graphic Chip inside your CPU doesn't matter, you do not want to use this. The 6GB version of the 1060 has more cuda cores than the 3GB version? Well in that case it does make a difference, but tha...

You need to install AMD Driver for GPU (I know it's crazy) - the CPU OpenCL runtime is part of it. You can uninstall the other packages you've installed, you don't need them.

Note that this is OpenCL. We do not have access to SSE2, AVX2 or whatever kind of special registers and instruction set exist on the device. The OpenCL runtime itself is managing the access to this an...

I think this message is not from the NV installer but from the Intel one. If that's the case and you're on Ubuntu 16.04, ignore it, it will successfully install and work afterwards.

No, except for SCRYPT based algorithms, the gpu ram doesn't matter when it comes to raw performance.

Don't mix in latest github version benchmarks. I've optimized the code to better perform on CPUs, so comparison would be invalid.

Because older version performed slower. That means you'd need to update the old benchmarks, too.
