nowadays there are no more "common AP's". by default, new ap's have a random value or mac-addess inside their essid so that this technique will not work. this is a waste of time.

everything is fine, you are just using it wrong. you defined a custom charset but you do not use it. in this case, it uses the default mask which does not match your plaintext. https://hashcat.net/...

yes you are right and this is already fixed in the toggle rules from oclHashcat-plus. as a replacement you overwrite them. i will do the same with hashcat v0.38. thanks for reporting.
