This is not possible, at least not for the fast algorithms like MD5 because of how the combinator engine and the rule engine is designed. That works for the slow algorithms like WPA and md5crypt. For ... |

with --gpu-loops 4096 you hold the kernel long time from returning to the OS. lower that number to maye 256 and try again if you can reproduce it. |

IMO they are efficient only for LM hashes. They are also extremly slow when it comes to multihashes. So yeah, they are outdated. |

Why not using a rule? Something like this should work:

oclHashcat-plus supports hd7970 only in beta 0.08 which is not publicy available, but oclHashcat-lite v0.09 does. |
