plus does not support 7970, wonder how you could have test it. also plus does not support mixed gpu types. do 2x6990 only or 2x5970. that might be your problem.

NTLM is much more lightweight than LM is. NTLM uses MD4, LM uses DES. NTLM is GPU friendly while LM is not. thats why :)
