oclHashcat v1.20 has a new parameter that will help you integrating called --status-automat that you can simply read from stdout

there is the special hash-type -m 5100 for this, it works for ABxx, xBCx and xxCD

If you want to crack TrueCrypt you dont have a hash. Just use the first 512 byte from the partition or container file instead. Do not use a text editor

A common error is that people try to crack multuiple handshakes at once. Look at the status output if its trying to cracking only 1 salt, not more
