Thread: oclHashcat FPGA support
Post: RE: oclHashcat FPGA support
1. I think the FPGA is much slower than GPU, especially after NVidias maxwell chipset and the 16nm shrink with the 10xx series. You should be able to do a compairson on the following number: 1 raw md5... |

Thread: [NEW Problem]dual-CPU hashca3.0 for help
Post: RE: dual-CPU hashca3.0 for help
Your CPU is so slow because you are using the AMD driver. For optimal CPU performance with Intel CPUs you need the Intel OpenCL SDK. Capeverde is your GPU. |

Thread: FPGA is that any good?
Post: RE: FPGA is that any good?
We don't have enough experience with it. Support for all OpenCL devices types just started with hashcat v3.00. Also we don't have any hardware to test on. |

Thread: Using hashcat on my CentOS 6 machine
Post: RE: Using hashcat on my CentOS 6 machine
You need to install both, the OpenCL ICD and the Intel OpenCL SDK. The OpenCL ICD is an OSS project maintained from khronos itself, you can find it on github, and so there should be a package for it. ... |

Some of the algorithms wont work, they will fail to compile, that way you know if it's safe to use that session or not. |

Just because 2.01 didn't error it doesn't mean that there was no error. It simply didn't support mesa driver and it didn't do such deep checks.

The problem with your CPU is that the latest Intel OpenCL runtime is not compatible with it. See this thread for a solution: https://hashcat.net/forum/thread-5627.html |

FWIW we've had this optimization is JtR for a year or so, albeit only in our CPU code yet (not sure why). It was brought up back then by Aleksey Cherepanov in https://www.openwall.com/list... |

It's an opencl runtime problem. If possible try to update the driver. Anyway, not hashcats fault here. |

Thread: Error in Hashcat 3.10
Post: RE: Error in Hashcat 3.10
I got a report for this from someone else, too. Please try again with latest beta version from hashcat.net/beta/
If it does not help, please give me exact and all details I need to reproduce this. |
