That's not how it works because that's not the real purpose of the brain. If you want a real distributed solution for hashcat, use hashtopolis.

The best solution for cracking emails is to either use rules or -a 1 based attacks.

What I meant is that if you use -a 1 you can do the same as what hybrid is doing while having the GPU running at full speed.

The performance of the GPU is not because they are fast but they run in parallel. A too low -l hinders them utilizing all shader. Also, try -w 3 if -l is big enough

Yes togglesX.rule for the upper/lower combinations and then in rule stacking mode using other ruleset for the prepending and appending. I think the rules/hybid/ are the ones you are looking for.
