As RAM isn't that expensive anymore, I recommend 16gb of RAM. It's not really required but if you do a lot of cracking job it helps to have the dictionaries cached in RAM (automatically done by the OS... |

AMD is much stronger than NV because they have some low level instructions that are good for crypto and oclHashcat can make use of this. |

That's simple, the -m 300 uses the binary digest from the first sha1() as input for the 2nd sha1() while -m 4500 uses the ascii hex representation of the first sha1(). |

Propably because of host process can't load words from dictionary. You might want to retry with -a 3 and see if it still happens. If no, then that's the reason. |
