Thread: IPB2 md5(md5($salt).md5($pass)) issue?
Post: RE: IPB2 md5(md5($salt).md5($pass)) issue?
I guess its all about the multihash -m 2611, -m 2711 and -m 2811 bug in AMD catalyst for < hd77xx. If it works fine on single hashes all you can do is to pray to AMD catalyst coder to fix this issue. |

Thread: After format speed goes down 50% on HD 7970
Post: RE: After format speed goes down 50% on HD 7970
I guess he tried with oclHashat-lite since it makes 8400 on 7970 and now he tries with oclHashcat-plus which is ofc slower. |

Post: RE: After format speed goes down 50% on HD 7970
The reason to do this is not do use a command, to avoid the shell to interpret some of the special chars in your salt. So copy/paste the hash into a Textfile and save it and then use the textfile-name... |

You need at least 100/X in your progress to have an ETC displayed |

Take the time it needs to inital display in -a 1 case and multiply it with the number of rules. That should work. |

You need at least (100 * nr-of-rules)/306706 in the progress to get an initial display. |

Try a rule-file which contains a single ":" instead of NUL. This is a real empty rule. |

Adding rules add some calculation overhead, thats why you have no "-" words / s. This is what the ETC is based on. Thats the reason. Its to slow to calculate it. |

The hashfile-name was ok, but your error is that you have seleted the wrong hash-mode. You are using -m 0 but your hash is salted, so you have to select the correct hash mode. See --help for a list of... |

Thread: Help to start OclHashcat-lite on ati4870x2
Post: RE: Help to start OclHashcat-lite on ati4870x2
oclHashcat works with OpenCL. OpenCL runtime from AMD do not allow access to required fast memory for hd4xxx cards.
For SL3 on hd4xxx cards use ighashgpu. |

It should be possible to port the code from oclHashcat to hashcat. But I am to busy with other features. If you guys can convince radix, matrix or xandadrel your chances are good :) |

No, its as radix said. He is missing a dictionary / mask so oclHashcat-plus went into stdin mode. Thats why it doesnt offer keyboard input |
