Thread: Why NVidia gpus are slower in computing
Post: RE: Why NVidia gpus are slower in computing

The main reasons for AMD cards are faster than NV cards in general are: - AMD GPU has more raw integer power (more SP), floating point is not important in crypto. - AMD GPU/XOP CPU have a much better...

Yeah thats right. It should have been called --hex-it-all. But since this is how it is implemented and how it is used by many ext. applications I cant change this back. Any idea of how to solve it? m...

That sucks. Same problem will exist for the outfile in case you have 2 instances of hashcat/oclHashcat-plus running and writing into the same outfile. It will get even worse if its a big list and you ...

Thread: how to configure this in OCLhashcat?
Post: RE: how to configure this in OCLhashcat?

While this will work it will run very very very slow because the 4 chars are static. To make any reasonable use of GPU you need to give it some work to run on GPU kernel. So you better get oclHashcat...

Post: RE: GPUs not being utilized?

You can add --gpu-loops 4096 -n 40 to increase the performance a bit, but still, the main reason is that the gtx690 is one of the worst cards to buy for hashcracking, sorry.

The -n and --gpu-loops parameter do not affect the temperature reading in any way. Please verify that.
