| That's simple, the -m 300 uses the binary digest from the first sha1() as input for the 2nd sha1() while -m 4500 uses the ascii hex representation of the first sha1(). |

| Propably because of host process can't load words from dictionary. You might want to retry with -a 3 and see if it still happens. If no, then that's the reason. |

| Rules accept all characters after the $ append as long as they are 1-byte characters. Maybe you wrote the rule file as utf8 which would be wrong and your text-editor you used to edit the rule converte... |
