Post: PHDAYS 2014 Hashrunner writeup Team Hashcat
Yes. we noticed that the plains this year have been a good mix between artifical and real passwords (artificial due to the rule processing). So it was much better than last year.
However, the best p... |

I bought one of those budget 750TI's since they have a of lot power for such a cheap card, thanks to the new sm_50 instructions.

Thread: Combinator Attack Rule Limits
Post: RE: Combinator Attack Rule Limits

Thread: cuStreamSync errors with OS X 10.8 hash
Post: RE: cuStreamSync errors with OS X 10.8 hash
The OSX 10.8 algorithm is a pain. It is doing lots of iterations that keep your GPU busy. The driver therefore often alarms out, especially with slower cards because the entire calculation takes more ... |

Thread: GPU comparison (passwords per second)
Post: RE: GPU comparison (passwords per second)
oclHashcat's code is more optimized, that explains the difference in numbers. but the difference will be the same for all gpu model therefore it's ok to use it as a sort of reference |

Your calculation is incorrect because ?s = 33, not 95

Thread: incorrectly identified GPU.... r290 and r7950
Post: RE: incorrectly identified GPU.... r290 and r7950
this looks like a temperature problem, since your gpu reached the 90c. oclhashcat does not have any influence on the way how gpu bios reacts in such a case, therefore i would recommend you to do --gpu... |

thats not completely true, they are just not working for fast hashes like md5. for slow hashes like wpa they work, as slow hashes use the hashcat cpu rule engine.
