sounds like you are on linux. in this case make sure the user which is logged in into ssh has a valid xsession. this means, exactly the same user must be logged in to X11. thanks to amd for this "feat... |

Since hashcat has SSE2 code for SHA512 its a lot faster than JtR:
On AMD FX(tm)-8120 Eight-Core Processor:

new oclHashcat-plus will come with a generic sha512-salt-pass module and supports hex-salts. that should work for you till a special loader for 0x200 is implemented. |

Not sure what you're talking about, but dividing rules for cpu and gpu makes no sense to me. Also, this was never a direct performance issue. It's more like that rules have been applied to vector data... |

Its depending on GPU. Its mostly efficient on AMD, at most at hd7970. Not much of a difference on NV. |
