Thread: wpa/wpa2 minimum and maximum password
Post: RE: wpa/wpa2 minimum and maximum password
Its neither oclHashcat that is crash nor the driver. Its a feature. Use this regedit change to disable WDDM recovery. Works for NVIDIA and AMD.

Post: RE: wpa/wpa2 minimum and maximum password
It comes up if you raise -n and -u a lot to get more speed. For WPA you can up to -u 4096 |

Thread: WPA/WPA2 in hashcat
Post: RE: WPA/WPA2 in hashcat
It should be possible to port the code from oclHashcat to hashcat. But I am to busy with other features. If you guys can convince radix, matrix or xandadrel your chances are good :) |

Thread: WPA/WPA2 hash help
Post: RE: WPA/WPA2 hash help
Yeah it's fine it will go through all passwords 0000000000 - 9999999999 but not in that order unless you use --markov-disable. Note it will not crack "012345" because it's not of length 10. |

Thread: WPA/WPA2 dictionary attack doesn't work!
Post: RE: WPA/WPA2 dictionary attack doesn't work!
Try wpaclean (it's in aircrack-ng) before creating the hccap. Or if you used wpaclean already, try creating the hccap without using wpaclean before. |

There's no special hardware for WPA cracking. You need to stick to CPU/GPU. |

Thread: WPA speed problem comparing to v1.31
Post: RE: WPA speed problem comparing to v1.31
1.32 uses AMP kernel (candidates calculated on GPU), therefore you need bigger wordlists as with 1.31. |

Post: RE: WPA speed problem comparing to v1.31
Well you can. If you really want to use small wordlists as before (and then adding rules), you can use hashcat in --stdout mode and pipe it to oclHashcat. In that case you will get the same speed with... |

Thread: WPA R9 290X or 7990?
Post: RE: WPA R9 290X or 7990?
290x as it's the fastest single gpu card. dual gpu cards like 7990 or 295x create more problems with heat than you want to think of |
