Based on the specs posted on videocardz the number of cuda cores is a lot less than expected. Therefore, the raw MD5 cracking speed should at ~10.9 BH/s. As comparison, the reference 290x is doing ~11...

That step should not be neccessary with hashcat, it has a build-in enable section for it. Please verify your statement again.

If you set it even lower, for example "--gpu-temp-retain 10", then it should instantly set the fan speed to 100%. Please try that and what philsmd said.

No, cudaHashcat* uses the driver API, which is completly different to the CUDA runtime

propably overheating problem, try to set your fans to 100% before starting hashcat

Yeah kernel compiler is part of the SDK.
