Don't do VCL, as you struggling with much more easy things. Do 2 to 4 cards setup on motherboard like:

Put CPU like FX6300, FX8... |

I don't know what idea you want more as 4x7990(~800USD)+water blocks(~100usd/piece)+ddr4(next year?)+haswell(300+ USD) does not sound cheap at all, it' high end pc. VCL also is not considering as chea... |

Post: RE: SAPPHIRE HD 7970 6GB Vapor-X Edition issue
Or simply set fan speed manually, for AMD is normal to hold @90C, so auto fans will be as silent as possible till that temperature. ~60-70% of fan speed should be able to hold your card at 60-70C. |

Somehow your benchmarks look not right. SHA1 is too low comparing to WPA/WPA2 which is a bit too high :/ also your PSU run on +-MAX load, it's also not right, you have to be on ~80% load to be safe. |

At the GPU end you have to cut one side of extender to fit GPU. And yes, plugung 1x will be ok. Besides, this wire modification goes better on GPU side socket, because it easier to solder it there. Ab... |
