To be clear, R9 290 is the same on performance as dual GPU HD6990 card in most cases, taking less electricity and making much less heat.

Seems soon we will see *hashcat integrated somewhere, so problems like doing specific functions with wrappers will be gone. Thank you atom for good job you do as always.

Extender have nothing to do with temperature readings. This will be related with oclHashcat and method how it read's temperature. Just need to wait for Atom or possibly other dev reply.

Don't use oclHashcat on this notebook if you don't wan't to get brick with dead gpu in near future, they damage itself using for internet browsing only, not talking about gpgpu applications.

You don't understand situation. It's not about cracker. oclHashcat is way superior hash crunching software and because of that it utilize your gpu to it's limits.Your gpu heat's up quickly as a result...

This is not an issue, you need to properly cool your card just that. At first try putting you card fan manually to 100%
