Attaching VisualStudio2010 to it, it's crashing in \Windows\system32\aticaldd64.dll. Looking at the module info, the "version" string is 6.14.10.1658, and the date is Jan 4 2012. I was just wondering ...

You are probably right. Your time is probably better spent doing something else, like tweaking kernels, or getting my 7970 working :-)
