Thread: Hashcat-plus and Hashcat problems
Post: RE: Hashcat-plus and Hashcat problems
The best you can do is lowering your GPU memory clok which could help a little. Yes, using --gpu-temp-disable could hurt so I don't recommend using it. Laptop are just not designed for hash cracking... |

Thread: How fast should my hashcat be running??
Post: RE: How fast should my hashcat be running??
To go back to the original question, the speed will be dependent on the number of hashes of your list (actually, the number of salts would be more appropriate). Try an attack on 1 hash, look at the s... |

Hi!
I have two PCs, both with Nvidia GPUs so I was wondering is there some way to connect them together for cracking?

Thanks atom. What do you guys think about this solution: for unsalted hashes, run hashcat with the wordlist and purge rules. This should not be costly and finish in a reasonable time. For salted ha... |

I'm not sure if I understood this fully. However, with CPU based algorithms (slow ones, iterated) you can already use the purge rule since oclHashcat uses hashca... |

Thread: Bars vs HC

You should at the very least compare them trying to crack the same keyspace. Anyway, hashcat is far superior since it uses markov chains. You are more likely to get your hit faster than barswf. |

Then your best bet is to "rulify" both your second wordlist and the modification like:
dict2.rule
Code:

$c
$d

mod.rule
Code:

$1$1$1
$1$1$2
$1$1$3

As far as I know, only the -q switch could help you. You would need your own word generator to apply all these rules. |
