Thread: FPGA cards?
Post: RE: FPGA cards?
I don't think there is much practically possible yet. The hashcat framework is now there to be developed against, but it is subject to both hardware capabilities and an actual OpenCL implementation on... |

Thread: --restore with the change of workload profile?
Post: RE: --restore with the change of workload profile?
To clarify: adding command-line options to a restore process generally doesn't work very well. You have to modify the restore file manually. I recommend making a backup copy of it first. The script th... |

Thread: hashcat 3.60 / hashcat 4.x many hashes
Post: RE: hashcat 3.60 / hashcat 4.x many hashes
I'm not clear from your post which tests are the ones that are for a large number of hashes.
And to clarify, by "Optimized" do you mean that you are using the -O flag? |

I've never actually tried running hashcat from a live USB - interesting.

Many tools from hashcat-utils are pretty minimal. The wiki has a summary of usage:

Thread: Line Exception using Example Hash md5
Post: RE: Line Exception using Example Hash md5
Do you have extra (or too few) characters in your hash.txt file? This is what the line-length exception error means.
Code:

K a l i is known to not be very Open-CL friendly.
But generally, if OpenCL can see your devices, hashcat should work. |

My understanding of how --restore works is that it's mostly a record of what command-line options were used, for the purpose of reinvoking hashcat. So I think that its application... |

You can use whatever rules make sense for your target. You may have to experiment with --stdout to determine whether the combination of --case-permute and your rules are doing what you're expecting. |
