Hi,
I acquired a AMD R9 290X, I have od6config and last version of oclHashcat (1.21). It works nice, however my benchmark looks like a bit slow to what I see on main hashcat website. Here is what I... |

Hi,
It's really weird, I left my computer running during the night and when I waked up the speed dropped very heavily.
If I press "s" two times very fast I get:

Hi epixoip,
Thanks. I'm using the default config for oclHashcat, but it by default just use the 15% and I heard we should not use 0d6config with it since it already handle the fun and temperature. ... |

hi epixoip,
thanks for follow-up.
I understood, maybe on next release they will support RPM.
Mine is not 70C idle, it's working heavily with hashcat using --gpu-accel=160 --gpu-loops=1024. I ... |

Thanks epixoip.
I guess you example means:
Core (Mhz) - 1050
Memory (Mhz) - 1375
And what is the power one?
Also, based on my tests with a big wordlist and best64 rule, the --gpu-accel=16... |

Hi epixoip,
Great explanation.
50% more electricity is a LOT! I'm curious if 50% more electricity pays off the overclocking of 50Mhz. What is your experience on it?
Great, I was unable to fin... |

Yeah, I also have a reference card (290X) as the one on the picture above, and it works very well and temp is very low in comparison to what I expected. I never reach the 80 Celsius degree. |

Hi epixoip,
Thanks for your answer, very appreciated.
I understood. And there is no way to control it once the olcHashcat is already running? I tried it and appear that nothing happens:

Hi,
Also, keep in mind that you need X window and autologin enabled. It was my issue on my first time, I wasted 2 days to figure it out. If you don't start X and log on it, no way.
Good luck |
