Thread: Special chars
Post: Special chars
The command ?a gives 95 chars.
On the hashcat site there are 31.
(assuming that ⇔ is these two characters: < >)
?s = !â€#$%&'()*+,-./:;⇔?@[\]^_`{|}~
So 62 + 31 = 93

Thread: GPU Cards comparison
Post: GPU Cards comparison
Can we trust this chart?
https://www.golubev.com/gpuest.htm
Because I saw that the smaller 5850 is faster than the 6850:
Radeon HD 6850--> 960 775 744.00 2745M 744M 14171 353932 43237

Great, thank you!
Maybe I should buy two 5850 then.
I don't know though if their powers add up literally like 2 x 2088 GFLOPS = 4166? |

Thread: Max combination result
Post: Max combination result
I recalculated the maximum combination of this brute attack and I got a largely different result.
-1 ?l?u ?1?l?l?l?l?s?s
52 + 26 + 26 + 26 + 26 + 95 + 95
oclHashcat gave me: 25 877 636 928
My end r... |

I think a beep on exit would be a useful feature.

Why do we need complex passwords when it only length that matters?
Even with 232 120 000 H/s, fastest algorithm(MD5) with 10 fastest GPU card, Radeon R9 295X2, taking only lower cases and numbers you... |

My point was that you can create a long but simple to remember pass instead of a shorter but harder to remember one. |
