Post: RE: Vbulletin Low Bruteforce Speed?

oclhc is being ported to oclhc-plus, so in time oclhc will be deprecated.

Doesnt exist at the moment because there's more than a password and a network name that makes a pmk.

Nope. That would simply wipe out any competition on the hashcracking software scene and thousands of douchebags would simply steal oclhc, reverse, rebrand and sell as own commercial software.

Say thanks to amd! Anyways, some say this is curable by flashing the GPUs with most recent BIOS.

Post: RE: Is that possible to use PS3 for Sl3 Cracking ?

Technically this should be possible, but the speeds wont exceed 500M p/s per a PS3. Oh yeah, and there's no ready solution for this. While PS3 may be faster than some CPUs, it's pathetic vs. high-...

Post: RE: keplar predictions

If some asian sources prove to be correct, GTX 680's shader domain will be clocked at 1.411Ghz(stock), which will boost MD5 speed to 6.124B p/s. Hopefully they are correct!

Sha-2 is very gpgpu unfriendly, on a single GTX 480, pluscat does ~71M p/s for a single sha-512 hash.

Ok, disappointment number 1: shader clock is no more, shaders run at core clock. Disappointment number 2 (mot confirmed): like FP64 and FP32, integer performance will be 1/2 or 1/4 int ops per shader...

AFAIK, no. The only way to parallelize pluscat or any other cat is to write a script that will split the workload and assign work to every GPU over the network. Or write some kind of framework. A...

Good, good! So, if only encrypted containers are attacked (not the hidden ones), only first half of a kilobyte is needed. That's a bit more than hccap (which is 392 bytes), but still it's better. ...

My vote is for password length > 15. Distributing pluscat is a major project I think, unless you use some kind of library for it.

I voted for: SHA-512(unix) aka butthurt algorithm. Would be useful for benchmarking, as it's the slowest algo on the planet. WEP, because cracking it in a minute with 100k+ data packets isn't fast e...

If you're comparing the same generation(7xxx, for example), then it's the number of stream processors(shaders) and core clock. The higher, the better.
