Post: RE: New Graphic Card, whichh should I buy?

If you dont mind the price, buy Radeon 5870 or GTX 480 . They are top for amd and nv atm. Just make sure they are properly cooled, so buy a model with non-stock cooling.

GTS 450 = sm_21 = pain in the ass to get 100% shaders working. But it's cheap :)

Post: RE: Problem with -l and -s

Oclhashcat does not have simple wordlist attack, and will not have it in the future. It's made for combo attack, with 2 sides. So oclhashcat.exe hash_file dictionary_file will not work. I have no...

Try -p 1 and -p 2. I have a feeling they dont begin with one.

Post: RE: ATI and Nvidia - same system?

Working together = not possible. Using either gtx 480 OR 5670 is possible. You only need to specify platform(-p flag). However, I suspect that it is possible to run 2 seperate oclhc instances, one for...

Post: RE: oclhashcat GUI needed ; I even pay $$ !

2 5970s will be very nice when crazy ati developers fix the opencl runtime bug, which doesnt allow to properly use 2 GPUs of 5970. Right now, using oclhashcat with 5970s is not worth the effort. P...

Usually, it worked like that(with each new release of drivers current oclhc worked with them). However, knowing NV, they may make some serious changes(or implement serious bugs) in 260.xx . When the...

OCLHC will not work with 260.xx beta drivers. It's normal(thanx to NV).

It's a very good result. Overclocking is a good idea, if your gfx card is properly cooled (not with stock turbine, but with a decent radiator and 2+ fans/watercooled) and you know whacha doing. Nvid...

DONT use dev driver. Use latest WHQLd ForceWare. You also may need to roll back to 3.1 toolkit(which is stable, not RC).

Note, hashcat's rule engine is compatible to PasswordsPro's and JtR's(excluding preprocessing). Oh, and it also has a very nifty "generate N rules" feature.

Launch openclhashcat with some attack + launch hashcat with some attack. On windows, oclhc almost doesnt use CPU, so you can use hashcat with it, and causing no uneven resource distribution.
