Thread: Cracking password protected PDF documents
Post: RE: Cracking password protected PDF documents
Hehe, awesome as usual, congratulations, Jens.
So, this only applies to PDFs up to Acrobat v4.
v5 and 6 implements 128 bit RC4, v7 128 bit AES and X and later 256 bit AES. |

Thread: Third-party utility: analyze_hc_restore
Post: RE: Third-party utility: analyze_hc_restore
I find this tool quite useful for long runs or if I'm up to no good and want to do some shenanigans to the restore file. |

Thread: identify hash with duckgoduck
Post: RE: identify hash with duckgoduck
Dislike.
The article was clearly written by an amateur who didn't bother to check the facts and lacks deep understanding of how cryptographic hash functions work.
Not the first, not the last, though... |

Thread: NTLM Algorithm on CUDA
Post: RE: NTLM Algorithm on CUDA
Hey.
Yes, it does, but it uses OpenCL instead of CUDA.
So, as long as you have the latest NV drivers, it will work.
Run OCLHC with "--help" parameter and you'll see it's attack mode 1000. |

Yes, minimal password length cant be defined yet.
Indeed, one dictionary + mask ; or one dictionary + another dictionary. |

Post: RE: ERROR: clGetDeviceIDs() -1
Right now, it depends on AMD to fix the issue.
But here's a workaround: roll back to 1.07b and sdk 2.1, for example, and use previous oclhc version. |

Thread: Domain Cached Credentials benchmarks?
Post: RE: Domain Cached Credentials benchmarks?
Yes, AMD's gfx card's int. performance is higher than NV's, they support crypto-useful bit align, and they dont artificially limit dp fp perf by 4.
Oh, and they're cheaper. |
