Thread: Vbulletin Low Bruteforce Speed?
Post: RE: Vbulletin Low Bruteforce Speed?
No, it's actually simple: oclhc-plus is far more optimized than oclhc, that's why you get better speeds.
The speeds are ok for 8 VB hashes. |

oclhc is being ported to oclhc-plus, so in time oclhc will be deprecated. |

GTS 450 = sm_21 = pain in the ass to get 100% shaders working.
But it's cheap :) |

Thread: Language Character Sets
Post: RE: Language Character Sets
I could do Russian, but I'd like to know, which encoding should I use for the file itself, the native one(cp-1251) or something universal(utf-7/8)? |

Hah, thanks.
Any comments regarding the "â„–" character?
Should or should it not be included in charset file?
Technically, it's not part of the alphabet, but then Norsk charset file may contain ... |

Dar she is.
It's win-1251 and also, I've included "â„–" there for good reason - it's not a part of ?s, but it's present on Russian keyboards.
Okay.
If you don't like it, it's the first charact... |

I like how md5-based variant is more secure in terms of computation than sha-2 based variant. |

GJ, the majority of similar tools out there are binary and not scripts, so it's a win. |

Post: RE: CudaHashcat vs 195M MD5s - a new world record
RAM / vRAM is the limit, as I was using 1.31b1, which differs little from 1.31 release.
The special version had no memory-wise optimizations, it only started the attack faster. |

Hehe, awesome as usual, congratulations, Jens.
So, this only applies to PDFs up to Acrobat v4.
v5 and 6 implements 128 bit RC4, v7 128 bit AES and X and later 256 bit AES. |

I find this tool quite useful for long runs or if I'm up to no good and want to do some shenanigans to the restore file. |

Thread: identify hash with duckgoduck

Dislike.
The article was clearly written by an amateur who didn't bother to check the facts and lacks deep understanding of how cryptographic hash functions work.
Not the first, not the last, though... |
