Crossfire is a technology for rendering graphics in games, it has nothing to do with OpenCL computations.
Oclhashcat can and will utilize all available GPUs, easily.

Thread: Building a cracking password infrastructure
Post: RE: Building a cracking password infrastructure
If your deadline is flexible, you could wait.
NV promised to release a high-end Maxwell Q4 2014 (seems more like Christmas sales 2014).
Some sources say it will beat GTX 980 in performance-per-watt ... |

Post: RE: Nvidia GTX Titan X Benchmarks
Congratulations, Jeremi!
If the core clock during cracking process is indeed 1.215 GHz-ish, then my predictions in this thread (https://hashcat.net/forum/thread-4178.html) were true.

In my personal experience, Furmark/OCCT/FP64 LL tests are way more stressing than hashcracking. |

Guess we're looking at the best Maxwell perf/$; perf/TDP card, folks.
Probably the best card for hashcracking among all vendors in aforementioned "disciplines", but this needs confirmation. |

Thread: CPU and GPU in same box?
Post: RE: CPU and GPU in same box?
Rolf will chime in and say that GPUs beat CPUs in terms of performance/$ and performance/W, so running a pure CPU cracking box for a bunch of generic hashing algorithms isn't very efficient. |
